BEREA, Ohio -- Browns receiver Corey Coleman landed hard on the ball after a deep catch from Brock Osweiler in OTAs and went to the ground on Wednesday.

He remained down for about three minutes while the trainer tended to him, and then Hue Jackson came over to check. Jackson helped him up, and then Coleman walked slowly into the building with a trainer. He did not appear to be favoring a leg or anything else.

Jackson said "he's fine. He just landed on the ball a little funny.''

The scene sent a ripple through practice, because Jackson is counting on last year's No. 15 overall pick to "make a big jump this year.''

Coleman missed time in training camp last year with a pulled hamstring, and then broke his hand in the second game of the season. He missed six games, and finished the 33 catches for 413 yards and three touchdowns.

He never caught more than five passes in his 10 starts, and averaged 3.3 per game.

"I don't think a lot of people understand that I missed six games as a rookie and I guess they expected me to come back and just be Superman,'' he said. "I'm still learning stuff as it goes on. I just think it's motivation. It's OK if you're all hard on me. I'm hard on myself. It's just motivation for me to do a little better."
