The Chicago Bears' offense might have taken a severe hit on Sunday.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith (81) is taken from the field after being injured on a run against the Tennessee Titans in the first half of an NFL football preseason game Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn.

Bears coach John Fox said the team suspects wide receiver Cameron Meredith suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Meredith sustained the injury in the first quarter of a 19-7 win over the Tennessee Titans when he was tackled after a 16-yard reception.

He had to be carted off and had an air cast placed on his leg.

Meredith, 24, led the Bears with 66 catches for 888 receiving yards last season.

The loss of Meredith would be the latest change to an overhauled receiving corps. Alshon Jeffery left for the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, while the team signed Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton and Victor Cruz.

"We have other guys," Fox said. "I'm not discounting what happened to Cam — obviously he'll be missed and we're be disappointed for him, everyone in that locker room is. But some guy will have to step up, and I think we have a good bunch to do that."
