Injury Report: Josh Allen, Devin Singletary lead list of questionable players

They all practiced to some degree through the course of the week. But now at week's end the picture isn't much clearer on the availability of Josh Allen, Devin Singletary and others for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Allen, Singletary and all but two of the players on Buffalo's injury list have all been listed as questionable for the team's Week 5 tilt in Tennessee.

TE Tyler Kroft and LB Corey Thompson were the only players declared out for Sunday.

Though Allen was still in the concussion protocol, for the first time this week he was a full participant in practice Friday instead of a limited participant as he was on Wednesday and Thursday. The same was true for FB Pat DiMarco and S Dean Marlowe. Both remained in the protocol, but they too were full participants in practice Friday.

Head coach Sean McDermott couldn't comment on his quarterback's availability for Sunday because he was still in the protocol, but when asked if he'd feel comfortable starting Allen on Sunday if he clears the protocol this weekend, McDermott offered the following.

"Yes, I would be comfortable," he said. "He's in the protocol so I can't go into what he's done and hasn't done, but I would be comfortable."

McDermott also made it sound as though a decision on RB Devin Singletary would go all the way up to Sunday as he tries to return from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2.

"We'll see. He got a little bit of work in (Thursday), so we'll see how it works," said McDermott. "We've got to see how he is (Saturday) morning."

Singletary was a limited participant in practice all week.

The news sounds encouraging concerning CB Taron Johnson, who has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.

"He's had a good week. He continues to get stronger," said McDermott. "We'll see again with him leading up to game time at this point. I like the direction he's headed in at this point."

OT Ty Nsekhe however, did not practice at all this week due to an ankle injury. But coach McDermott considers the veteran to be a bit of a different case.

"It's going to be a game-time decision with Ty," said McDermott. "He's a veteran player so I like the fact that he's played so I don't worry about him not getting as many reps in practice at this point."

If Nsekhe isn't available it's likely that undrafted rookie Ryan Bates would serve as the backup offensive tackle.
