Packers RBs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams had their 2020 base salaries jump from $735,000 to $2.147 million via the NFL’s proven performance escalator. Players drafted in rounds 3-7 qualify in the final season of their rookie deal if they play at least 35% of the offensive or defensive snaps in two of their first three seasons or 35% of all offensive or defensive snaps over their entire first three years. It's essentially a raise before the first chance at a raise in free agency.
