You can play a minor pentatonic over the blues of course. But, if you want to sound a little different you should target the chord tones in the progression. Once you nail these targeted notes, a great way of adding tension is to anticipate the chord notes a little bit before the chord change happens. Make sure to always resolve to the actual chord to create that tension / relax dynamic within your solos.
